No matter who you are in life, you want to be happy. Some of the most common ways people try to obtain happiness are through their finances, their relationships, their career, travel, and health. If the truth be told, these all seem to have a hollow center once they are obtained. With these things, your happiness will only last for a while and then you will be looking for the next thing to make you happy.
Have you ever known someone that may not have many material things in life but they are truly happy? Most people don’t understand how someone can be that happy without having all the glitz and glamour of the material things. The reason they are so happy is because they have found the secret to attracting true happiness in their life.
So what’s this secret they have found? They have mastered their passions in life. They know exactly what they are passionate about and why. They live every day according to that passion. There is a great quote by Alfred Lord Tennyson that says, ‘The happiness of a man in this life does not consist in the absence but in the mastery of his passions.’
Are you like so many others who are in pursuit of happiness but have thrown out your passions? The tragedy to this is that the only way to happiness is by doing what you were created to do. In finding the greatness that’s on the inside of you, you will find that that is where happiness is found.
Make a decision today that you are going to start fulfilling the passions that are in you. As you start to do the things that you are passionate about, you will attract happiness into your life.

“You are as young as your faith, as old as your doubt; as young as your self-confidence, as old as your fear; as young as your hope and as old as your despair”.
Most Seniors have seen hard times at one time or another in their lives. They have had to struggle financially to care for their families or they have lost close family members or have suffered grave illness of family members or themselves. They know the reality of how fast the good times can disappear. Through the years they have gained enormous knowledge, often from their own experience and perseverance rather than from education and training. Where youth pays huge fees to get an education, the years accumulated by Seniors can be equal in value.
Their most precious commodity now is Time. Not even youth knows how much more time they are allotted but Seniors certainly know that theirs is limited and now is not the time to worry about how much is remaining but to remember that the future still comes to them one day at a time and it is up to them to live each one to the fullest.
There are many projects that Seniors from 50 up are able to accomplish and we have only to look at the internet to see all the hundreds of work-at-home projects offered. The list goes on from learning to cook or play a musical instrument, to making money at internet marketing online with some of the dozens of programs offered, or getting paid to type or do data entry via the internet. The internet certainly offers a mosaic of ideas and money making work-at-home opportunities.
Regardless of whether Seniors need to make a living or just entertain themselves to keep busy, the underlying goal should be to find happiness in thir work. Happiness is a way of life. George Bernard Shaw wrote “We have no more right to consume happiness without producing it than we have to consume wealth without producing it”. Happiness is meant to be enjoyed, not someday in the future, but today – Now!.
Happiness is being true to yourself
Happiness is keeping busy
Happiness is accepting the inevitable
Happiness is ones work and family life
Happiness and health are closely related
True happiness is making others happy
Remember, your financial Past does not have to be your Financial Future!
Age is a quality of mind.
If you have left your dreams behind,
If hope is cold and you no longer plan ahead,
If your ambitions are all dead,
Then you are Old.
But if you make of life the best
And in your life you still have zest,
If you hold love no matter how the years go by
No matter how the birthdays fly,
You are NOT old!

Do you know what is the most elusive and coveted thing in the world? The one thing that everyone hankers for, but very few actually manage to get it. For most people in this world, the most coveted thing in this world would probably be a material object, and in order to achieve that, the most desired object in this world has become money. However, what everyone actually yearns for and wants is not these material objects, but happiness. We need to realize this eternal truth ourselves – that the art of happiness lies in us.
We want material comfort because we think that by obtaining these objects we will be happy. However, does anyone actually know what is the art of happiness, how do we go about achieving this? Money and material goods certainly do not bring in happiness. How many celebrities have committed suicide in spite of having every possible riches simply because they could not master the art of happiness?
People from all over the world, travel to the Himalayas to search for this art of happiness. However, the simple truth of the matter is that the ‘art of happiness lies in you’. Yes, each one of us can master this art of happiness ourselves without having to do penance or by living an ascetic’s life. We are the makers of our own happiness, and we also have the power to master this art of happiness ourselves.
The first and foremost thing is to be peaceful. We should have a clear heart, and should not involve ourselves in petty politics, or demeaning others behind our back. We should have a clear conscience, and do only those things which we think are correct. The worst possible thing that one can do is to lie to oneself, and one can never achieve the art of happiness in such a way.
Art of happiness can also only be achieved if one is not greedy for more. In today’s world, we are never satisfied or happy with what we have; we constantly want more and this cycle never stops. Therefore, in order to master this art of happiness, we should be happy with what we have, and not crave for more than what we can achieve. We should appreciate our life and be grateful for whatever God has bestowed upon us.
One can realize that it is easy to achieve happiness by simply respecting others. If we do not respect our elders, our family members, our colleagues, and fellow human beings, we can never learn the art of happiness. The key to art of happiness lies with you. Only your actions and good deeds will help you learn and appreciate this art of happiness.
