Look around you…everything you are looking at is a result of your past thoughts and actions. You are looking at things you put into motion sometime before now, and thus what you are really looking at is your past.
Stay with me here, because this can mean a lot to you if you grasp and use this knowledge…if everything around you is essentially the residual result/s of your past thoughts and actions, then if you see this reality as THE reality, you are in essence keeping yourself in your exact circumstances. You can only react and cannot create.
If you feel depressed about your current surroundings or circumstances, then you are simply judging that which you have put into place in prior moments. Don’t like it? Change it. Sound difficult?…It’s impossible of you continue to think that what you are looking at is ‘how it is.’
What you can do is live into the future you want to create. If your thoughts of today create your world of tomorrow, then how could it possibly pay off to be miserable and whiny?…What if instead you think consistently about how you really want things to be, and hold that thought until your world conforms around you?…
This is the ONLY way to effect change. What makes it so seemingly difficult is the power of our present surroundings and how real it all seems. This is also why we are each somewhat alone when it comes to creating, and why in places like our blog, our forum and many others like them, we can help each other remember what we want, and remind each other that what we are looking at has less power than we tend to give it.
Let’s all create amazing journeys and incredible stories…not for anyone else, but for ourselves. Because it’s fun, and because we CAN!
